What we do

All aspects of tree care, for homeowners, landowners and businesses across Hampshire and the south of England.

  • An arborist in a spider lift pruning high in a woodland canopy

    Tree reduction

Bringing a tree's height or spread back while keeping its shape and health. The usual answer for trees that have outgrown their space or are blocking light.

  • Two of the team in a garden beside a freshly felled trunk cut into rounds

    Tree felling

Straight felling where there's room, with a series of cuts at the base for a controlled, predictable drop.

  • A green telehandler lifting a tree section clear of a roadside oak

    Tree dismantling

Taking a tree down in sections where it can't be felled: over houses, gardens, roads and railway lines. Each piece is rigged and lowered, or lifted out by telehandler.

  • A stump grinder at work under a large oak with a paddock behind

    Stump grinding

Grinding stumps out below ground level so you can plant, turf, pave or build over the spot.

  • A freshly trimmed hedge with Hampshire countryside beyond

    Hedge cutting

Trimming, reducing and reshaping hedges of any size, from garden laurels to field boundaries cut by tractor flail.

  • A cleared paddock in front of a country house, strimmer in the foreground

    Site clearance

Clearing trees, scrub and vegetation from plots, paddocks and overgrown gardens, ready for building or landscaping.

  • A large branch that has come down across a garden summerhouse

    Dangerous trees

Storm-damaged, split, leaning or dead trees made safe quickly. If you think a tree is a risk, call us first.

  • A mature tree in full leaf rising above neighbouring houses

    Tree preservation orders

We'll check whether a tree is protected or in a conservation area, tell you what's allowed and handle the council application for you.

Not sure what you need? Send a photo and a postcode. We'll tell you what's possible and give you an idea of cost before anyone visits.

How a job works

Tree work can feel like a big deal. We keep it to three steps and no surprises.

  1. Tell us about the job

Call, email or use the form. A photo and a postcode are enough to get started.

  2. We visit and quote

Dominic comes out promptly, talks through the options with you and gives you a written quote. No obligation.

  3. The work gets done, then we tidy up

A qualified, insured team on an agreed date. We chip the brash, stack or remove the timber, and leave the site clear.

Dominic trained in arboriculture at Sparsholt College and has been a qualified arborist for more than ten years. He started Bell Tree Services in 2020 after years of contract work for Network Rail, Scottish & Southern Electric and Hampshire County Council, and the team now look after trees for homeowners, private estates and businesses across Hampshire and the south.

Tree work can feel overwhelming, so we keep it simple: respond quickly, visit promptly, listen to what you actually want, do the work safely and on time, and leave the site clear and tidy.

“Brilliant job again by Dominic and his team, removing a very old, large and rotten oak tree which overhung a busy road, so Bell Tree Services handled all the highways procedure too. • Large beech removed, site left clean and tidy
